TOURNAMENT CANCELED

Hurricane Gustav hit the Gulf Coast of Louisiana recently. TPC Louisiana has been adversely affected. The course does not anticipate reopening until the end of October. As result, we are canceling the TPC Louisiana Qualifying Tournament. We apologize for any inconvenience.

THE COURSE

Situated on 250 acres across the Mississippi River from New Orleans, TPC Louisiana was designed by a man who knows how to turn a site with limited topography into a beautiful and compelling test of golf. Pete Dye, who created the flagship layout for the PGA TOUR, TPC Sawgrass, was called on again for another challenge. TPC Louisiana is now host of the PGA TOUR event, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

TPC Louisiana was built on built on 250 acres of low lying wetlands along the Mississippi river delta. The club is conveniently located 12 miles from downtown New Orleans in the suburb of Avondale. There will be no residential components inside the property. TPC Louisiana is the only PGA TOUR club in the state.

The golf course par is 72, and the yardage from the championship tees is 7520. The course incorporates many natural challenges including five (5) water ponds and 103 bunkers (69 pot bunkers). Five sets of tee boxes per hole allowing all caliber's of golfers to experience a unique golfing challenge.

Featuring Bermuda fairways that are over-seeded annually with Rye, TPC Louisiana provides top-quality playing conditions throughout the year. The Miniverde Bermuda greens putt exceptionally true and possess an average green speed of 10 on the stimpmeter.
