THE COURSE
Designed by PGA TOUR Legend and world-renowned golf course designer Tom Weiskopf with PGA TOUR player consultant D.A. Weibring, TPC Craig Ranch sits on 233 acres of rolling terrain routed along the beautiful white-limestone based Rowlett Creek.
A few of the signature holes at TPC Craig Ranch include the par-4 hole #14, which at 330 yards is Weiskopf's traditional drivable par-4 and the par-4 hole #13 that demands a 290 yard carry off the tee from the PGA TOUR tees and stretches to 512 yards.
At 7438 yards, a Course Rating of 77.0 and a Slope Rating of 152 from the PGA TOUR tees, TPC Craig Ranch qualifies as one of the most challenging course in the State of Texas and ranks high on the national scale. However, with generous fairways, sizeable greens and five sets of tees, the TPC Craig Ranch possesses the ability to challenge the best players on TOUR and yet still provide an enjoyable and rewarding round for golfers of all skill levels.
In 2005 TPC Craig Ranch played host to both the U.S. Amateur Qualifier and the U.S. Open Sectional Qualifier. In 2006 the TPC Craig Ranch was the host to the U.S. Women's Open Qualifier and the PGA TOUR Qualifying School.
The PGA TOUR again tapped TPC Craig Ranch as the host of stage two Q-School in 2007. During the week long event Mr. David H. Craig, the Salesmanship Club, and the PGA TOUR announced that TPC Craig Ranch would be the host for the Nationwide Tour Championship for 2008 and also a historical moment in being the first million dollar purse on the Nationwide Tour.
