THE COURSE

TPC Tampa Bay is an 18 hole, par 71, stadium-style course that was designed by Bobby Weed with Chi Chi Rodriguez as the PGA TOUR player consultant. TPC Tampa Bay was created to not only challenge the top golfers of the world, but to also provide a challenging and fun experience for players of all abilities. The course gives the players the opportunity to play well within their game, with a variety of teeing areas that allow the course to be played from 5,036 yards from the forward tees to 6,898 from TPC championship tees.

Since being built in 1991, this Heritage Golf Group property has earned numerous accolades, including a 4 1/2 star rating in Golf Digest's Places to Play. It was recently Rated #13 Best Public Golf Facility by GolfWorld Magazine's 2010 Reader's Choice Poll. It has annually been voted the top golf course in the Tampa Tribune's Readers Choice Awards and has also been named the top golf property in West Central Florida and one of the top five in the State by the readers of Florida Golf Magazine.

The course is routed around natural wetlands, cypress heads and numerous ponds and lagoons, which are home to an abundance of wildlife. Deer, foxes, otters, armadillos, alligators, egrets, storks, cranes, blue heron and eagles all inhabit the golf course. This natural setting and wildlife variety is the reason why TPC Tampa Bay is one of the only two courses in the Tampa Bay area to be designated as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.
